Former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke, whose ultimately unsuccessful bid for the U.S. Senate in 2018 earned him a fervent and national following, announced Thursday morning that he is running for president in 2020.
"This is a defining moment of truth for this country and for every single one of us," O'Rourke said sitting alongside his wife, Amy, in his official announcement video released Thursday morning. "The challenges that we face right now; the interconnected crises in our economy, our democracy and our climate have never been greater."

After milking the publicity he’ll drop out and run against Cornyn. If he’s lucky enough to win he’ll take Obamas trek to the WH. He’s no John Edwards.

There are big dollars in running for president. O’Rourke has no chance, heck, he couldn’t even win in his home state.
But there is a payoff down the road in this crooked system we’ve allowed politicians to construct.
Beto does have a chance. Maybe slim, but Obama came from nowhere, became the media darling and ended up in the White House. Beto is just as ignorant and just as arrogant.
With 1/2 the country ignorant and the dims importing millions of new voters, I do think he has a chance.

Beto O’Rourke...total “zero & loser” from A-Z. This weak dude lost his pants to Ted Cruz, who self destructed at the RNC held in Cleveland, Ohio in 2016 and...yet the wounded Cruz beat this fool, O’Rourke by some 220,000 votes.
Cruz should have beat O’Rourke by some 700,000 vote just like Governor, Greg Abbott politically slaughtered his opponent, thus winning re-election to Governor of Texas!!!
Never mind November of 2020. If his handlers don’t worm him, he isn’t going to make it through the winter. :)
This dimwit has a singularly unimpressive resume and is a monument to mediocrity. But then, that didn’t stop Barry from getting elected.
