Texas politician Beto O’Rourke announced his intention to run for president in the 2020 election on Thursday morning, the roll-out of which included a very in-depth Vanity Fair cover story. However, his big news may have been overshadowed by the true star of the O’Rourke household: his dog, Artemis.
In the Annie Leibovitz-lensed shots of O’Rourke and his family, Artemis steals the show, showing herself to be an elegant and self-actualized pooch who might be the charismatic running partner that O’Rourke will need to give him an edge over the many, many other Democrats who have thrown their hats in the ring for the 2020 presidential election so far.
Artemis’ Vanity Fair debut was widely lauded on the Internet, where she was declared not only a very good girl, but the true star of the cover shoot, which honestly, is not far from the truth. Artemis became the talk of Twitter, where many widely wondered what she thought of O’Rourke’s decision to run.

On Drudge right now, Beto is featured in 3 identical pictures, doing his best impression of a sad dog. I looked at those big, sad pictures and wondered who would want a “sad dog” as a president? So I saw the “Sad Dog” lede for the Time’s story and STILL thought it was really his nickname.
I saw a Time magazine in a doctor’s office recently, having not seen one in many years.
I was surprised at how thin it was, and how dumbed down it seemed to be. Many pictures and graphs, with short articles seemingly written at a 5th grade level.
Did he pee on the time magazine?

The dog is crying out for Beto to stop abusing that boy in the pic.
Beto means “incompetent lying dumb*ss” in some language, right?
So this is a Time fluff piece about an obviously cordinated fluff piece in Vanity Fair that featured something about Beto’s dog?

Few north-easterners are voting for a guy from Texas named Beto in the primaries.
Anyone else think there’s some Kennedy in O’Rourke’s bloodstream?
