Beto O’Rourke is a loser.
In 2016, he ran against Ted Cruz in the Texas Senate race, and lost.
He didn’t lose by much, just 2.6% of the vote in fact.
But he still lost, and in the brutal world of US politics that usually means the last anyone hears from you for the rest of your natural life.

Just when I thought Piers was finally growing a brain he threw that in. That's where I stopped reading. Hey, Piers, why don't you fix your country before you spout off about ours?!
Beto married a rich man’s daughter. His wife runs their company. His father-in-law funnels money to his elections through his wife. He is like Obama. He has done very little in his life. But he can give speeches. And he looks like a hipster. So old women vote for him, the cute young man. And like Obama he does not plan to run the government. He will just hand it over to the lefties. And he will spend the next 4 to 8 years giving speeches and not worrying.
Yes, but Nixon dropped out of sight for several years after two losses, and when he came back, people were ready for him. I guess Beto is gearing up for loss #2.

Immigration -- supporting the Dream Act and a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, he has called for the closing of private immigrant detention centers, denounced the “militarization” of immigration enforcement and spoken out against the wall.
Gun Control -- supports universal background checks, magazine size limits and restrictions on some semiautomatic weapons. opposes concealed carry reciprocity,
Health care -- “A single-payer ‘Medicare for all’ program is the best way to ensure all Americans get the health care they need.”
Climate change -- spoke positively about the Green New Deal, calling it technically and logistically doable.supports the Paris climate accords.
Trade and agriculture -- stronger crop insurance program and federal investments in rural infrastructure, including high-speed internet, roads and schools.
Gov't Spending -- Voted NO on prioritizing spending in case debt limit is reached. (May 2013) Supports federal stimulus spending. Bigger gov't
Military spending -- Supports reduced spending for military
Taxes -- Reverse recent Federal tax cuts. Reinstate the inheritance tax
Not what I want to see...
Maybe Robert Francis O’Rourke is 1/512th Hispanic heritage, thereby easily besting Fauxcahontas 1/1024th Cherokee.
But, but, but, he resembles a Kennedy. He could club his cousin, crash a plane, drown a woman... (or some combination of these). I hope he doesn’t run into a tree on that skateboard. There’s no immunity on the way to the White House.
Even with EVERYTHING going the Democrats way BEATO still lost by 215,000 votes. Cruz was down 180,000 votes from 2012 because of his opposition to Trump.
TRUMP beat Clinton by 807,000 votes in 2016. Trump hasn’t lost a vote in Texas.
BEATO, with every advantage possible, only beat Clinton’s total by 167,764 votes.
