How Sovereign Citizens Helped Swindle $1 Billion From the Government They Disavow

...What sovereign citizens believe

Sovereigns, who sometimes call themselves “freemen” or “state citizens,” have no foundational document, but broadly they subscribe to an alternate version of American history. The tale can vary from sovereign to sovereign, but it goes roughly like this: At some point, a corporation secretly usurped the United States government, then went bankrupt and sought aid from international bankers. As collateral, the corporation offered the financiers … us. As sovereigns tell it, your birth certificate and Social Security card are not benign documents, but contracts that enslave you.

There is, they believe, a pathway to freedom: Renounce these contracts or otherwise assert your sovereignty. (Mr. Morton said he once told the Social Security Administration, “I don’t want this number.”) Then no one — not the taxman, not the police — can tell you what to do. Not all sovereigns are con men, but their belief system lends itself to deceit. You might declare yourself a “diplomat” from a nonexistent country. (Mr. Morton represented the Republic of New Lemuria and the Dominion of Melchizedek.) Or start a fake Native American tribe. Or blow off a court case because the American flag in the courtroom has gold fringe. Some sovereigns have even lashed out violently at law enforcement officers, which is why they’re considered a domestic terrorism threat.

Many sovereign myths hark back to the creation, in 1913, of the Federal Reserve. “It was this weird, complicated instrument for controlling the monetary system. People saw it as sinister,” the author J. M. Berger told me. In a recent paper, Mr. Berger traced the circulation of these ideas, in part, to a company named Omni Publications, which was something like the Infowars of the middle of the 20th century.

“As sovereigns tell it, your birth certificate and Social Security card are not benign documents, but contracts that enslave you.”

Given that Social Security numbers have become national ID numbers for everything under the sun, there is a bit of truth to that bit at least...

You can go to youtube and watch “sovereign citizen” videos endlessly. Most are shot by the perps themselves in order to show the police officers stomping on “their rights”. The better ones are shot by police body cams or third parties. The BEST ones feature police dogs ripping the hell out of a perps arms or legs as it pulls the once tough sovereign citizen screaming like a girl from his or her car.

Jay Inslee, Democrat Governor and Democrats Presidential candidate is a sovereignist. He was hot to secede from the US several months ago. As, I believe, was Democrat Loony Toon Karmello Harris.

When the digging gets deeper on this subject, a lot of Masonic stuff is unearthed.

There are also many where the cops don’t mess with them. It seems mostly to center around vehicle violations - one way or the other.

The border patrol ones are very instructive this area.

The SS system was devised to ultimately become a universal citizen ID number, thus extending government control to all with the promise of a “secure” retirement.

Now we have massive databases with our information, not voluntarily given, indexed by our SSNs and scrutinized by the government.

The NY Times believes citizens have absolutely no sovereignty at all, no individual rights. That’s what they’re doing, trying to undermine the sovereignty of all American citizens by comparing us to Sobereign citizens, which is really one of those unfortunate misnomers.

Well, I don’t really want to be “instructed” in these folks delusional belief that The Articles Of Confederation are still in force and that The Constitution does not exist. Let me be more direct. Sovereign Citizens are nuts, freaks and delusional assholes.

Oh, Mr. Berger at Columbia, with the earring in his left ear.

Hmmm.

Yup, it's all coming into focus, now.
