The Grand Rapids Police Department is searching for two vandals who defaced the gravesites of President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
Cops released photos of the March 27 incident that shows a man and woman sitting on a wall that’s part of the memorial site. The man appears to be carving or writing something on the panels that read “Lives Committed to God, Country and Love.”
Surveillance video of the incident obtained by CBS affiliate WWMT also shows the woman kick a skateboard into the memorial wall.

Ford was pro abortion and gave the world Jimmy Carter. Had a decent war record, was never terribly bright, no accomplishments in Congress, owes his fame to a desperate Richard Nixon. Imagine there is not much traffic visiting his grave. Still security should have had it on a surveillance monitor. Then again Grand Rapids is not the same place he once represented.
Vandal turned himself in, he’s white, 19 and dumb, did not know who President Ford was. Skateboarding at19. I was already through my first tour of Vietnam and working on my second when I was 19.
Let’s hope Japan doesn’t bomb Pearl Harbor.
This is the type of incident where facebook can actually do some good by publishing the picture. Hope they get caught and punished. I got to meet Gerald Ford several times and one of my schoolmates (a liberal, Thomas DeFrank) wrote a good book about him titled: “Write It When I’m Gone”. I didn’t agree Ford on some things but I respected him.

On another topic listed above, I don't think you can overly blame Gerald Ford for Jimmy Carter. That is on Nixon. Yeah GF lost to JC, but under what scenario would any R candidate won after the Nixon debacle.
But if you want to play that game, we can thank Jimmy Carter for Ronald Reagan.
