I’m home. I have the makings of a very ugly, green and purple bruise right below my knee cap. That part is swollen. I had to talk him into a small Ace bandage and a lollipop, but I left happy. I’m supposed to ice and elevate, so I shall for the next hour while I watch Tucker Carlson.
You take care of that and do as the Doc says, those lollipops can do wonders. ;^)
You may have to ice it for more than one hour.

Please ice it often the next few days. It tightens the tissue and squeezes the blood out. New blood will come in as it warms bringing oxygen and nutrients that will speed the healing. At least 4 ounces of protein 3 times a day helps too! Walk with a cane to take weight off the knee. Don’t have one? Use an umbrella!
