One of the most common attacks on the National Rifle Association is that it supposedly prevents academics from doing research on firearms. “[Academics] were forced to stop their work at the point of a gun—or at least at the insistence of National Rifle Association,” wrote the Washington Post of the 1996 Dickey Amendment. Susan Sorenson of the University of Pennsylvania believes that the loss of federal funding has “decimated the field.”

Similarly, in the old USSR, Pravda would report: “Politburo to spend 50 million rubles for an unbiased study of capitalism”.

Knowing full well there would be a fair and balanced report.

I wonder if these people are interested in seeing how generational welfare dependency, illiteracy, drugs, broken families, and other related things contribute to crime and violence as equally as the criminal misuse of firearms are? Surely, we should expect something like that from Ms. Sorenson and other such individuals. Given that, I find the Washington Post’s comment seemingly fixated on just guns (as they usually are) that very dishonest in that kind of context.

Are they going to study low IQ, low impulse blacks and their misuse of firearms in the inner cities, starting with Chicago?

I think the Democrats will risk starting a civil war rather than take a chance on another 4 years of Pres. Trump before regaining power and even then they may not win in 20204. They seem to think the people will rise up, kick Trump out of office and sweep an “Everything is Free” candidate into poser.

True.

MSNBC gives a quick 1.5 minute history lesson on why the 2nd Amendment is important. No, this isn’t a typo. Even a blind hog can find an acorn every now and again.

Most of gun violence is in Chicago, Baltimore,Los Angeles. Go there and see if you can find some clues.

I’ll study gun violence for the Gov, and only charge them $30 million. Saves the tax payer $20 mil and I can come to whatever conclusion they want, or give them the truth. That might not be the same...

A Democrat-fomented civil war will start & likely be confined to Seattle, Portland, SF, Chicago, Newark, and Atlanta.
