The former president went from being confident that Hillary Clinton would beat Donald Trump to seeing it as a 'personal insult' that she lost.
Obama could not believe the American people had 'turned on him' for a man he had written off as a 'cartoon'.
As the dust settled Obama told his family that 'this hurts' and blamed Clinton who 'brought many of her troubles on herself' and ran a 'scripted, soulless campaign'.
The eye-popping details are in the new edition of 'Obama: The Call Of History' by New York Times chief White House correspondent Peter Baker.

It’s like the dems are so fond of saying lately—NO ONE is above the law including the POTUS and the AG. Haha
I am just glad he was so lazy and laid back...
He could really have done a lot more damage to the country if he had put some energy into it.
My bet one of the last things to drop about his presidency is going to be how he used the CIA and FBI to cover up that he claimed to be a Kenyan to get into Harvard. I my self thinks there is still a distinct possibility that he was born in Kenya but acknowledge that the other possibility is that he lied on college applications.
Sounds like a confession of yet another motive to sabotage a duly elected president.
No one asked Ohole if he thought that other presidents replaced by the opposite party might also take it personally.
He did what ever rat scumbag does he blames the other person
Prison’s really gonna bum him out.
So all those ‘me, me, me’, ‘I, I, I’ were not just his self-centered obsessiveness but was really about how his legacy might be undone. What a hero! < /sarc >
I bet he was a joy to be around on election night.
It is from Sundance at the Conservative Treehouse, not me.
This is exactly the kind of dissension we need to feed and amplify politicly.
We need to make it our goal to amplify these kind of sentiments back-and-forth so that their party fractures and sinks like the Titanic
Really, is anyone surprised by Mr. I.
You’re not that important, 0bunghole, but I’m glad it brought you pain. :)
I voted and then later that night I was moving some furniture in my truck for a friend of a friend. (for money) This woman was from Seattle so I guess enough said. I mentioned to her earlier about 7 or 8pm that I voted and I voted for Trump because I thought he really could help our country. I don't remember what she said but it wasn't in agreement with me. I didn't keep up with the results because I pretty much chalked it up as a loss for Trump. I made another run and came back at about 11 or so and she said "Well it looks like you're going to get your wish"
I said "Huh what?"
She said "Trump is going to be President"
I said "Excuse me"
:Capition This!:
“How Obama saw Trump’s victory as a ‘personal insult”
He’s not wrong. I guess there is a first time for everything.
Romney backed off almost as soon as the first debate was over. He no more wanted to win than McCain did. The trouncing he gave Barky was complete and easy. That scared the GOPe and they all vacked off. Remember how Ryan let himself be bullied by Biden. The only one who actually wanted to beat Barky and made the efgort was Sarah.
