The only thing uglier than an angry Washington is a fearful Washington. And fear is what’s driving this week’s blitzkrieg of Attorney General William Barr.
Mr. Barr tolerantly sat through hours of Democratic insults at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday. His reward for his patience was to be labeled, in the space of a news cycle, a lawbreaking, dishonest, obstructing hack. Speaker Nancy Pelosi publicly accused Mr. Barr of lying to Congress, which, she added, is “considered a crime.” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler said he will move to hold Mr. Barr in contempt unless the attorney general acquiesces to the unprecedented demand that he submit to cross-examination by committee staff attorneys. James Comey, former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, lamented that Donald Trump had “eaten” Mr. Barr’s “soul.” Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren demands the attorney general resign. California Rep. Eric Swalwell wants him impeached.

But most of it is likely fear. Mr. Barr made real news in that Senate hearing, and while the press didn’t notice, Democrats did. The attorney general said he’d already assigned people at the Justice Department to assist his investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. He said his review would be far-reaching – that he was obtaining details from congressional investigations, from the ongoing probe by the department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, and even from Mr. Mueller’s work. Mr. Barr said the investigation wouldn’t focus only on the fall 2016 justifications for secret surveillance warrants against Trump team members but would go back months earlier.

That says it all.
Revenge is a dish, best-served cold.
The very meaning of the word “lie” is being rewritten as we exchange views about what constitutes a “lie”.
William Barr is succinct and concise in what he sincerely believes is going on in the inner workings of the Deep State, the Swamp, the bureaucracy, or whatever name would be applied to this vast reactionary conspiracy. By the yelps coming from this pack, you know just about which one was struck by the cast stone. Sometimes a LOT of yelps come all at once, the same stone striking many simultaneously.
To the Deep Staters, anything that makes them yelp is a “lie”. The ultimate in projection, those who expose the real lie become the “liars”.
Contrast this with all the people and organizations who promoted the endangerment of President Trump.
The crooks have exposed themselves.
Anybody still think this country can be saved when you have the Speaker of the House accusing the first competent AG we have had in ten years a “criminal perjurer” on live TV? Just what leads you to such a belief? I honestly want to know because I don’t see it.
...and yet to this date all the some 2 dozen people who have actually committed Treason at the top levels of the DOJ and FBI are still walking around unencumbered. If WE know all these things what is the hang up? You mean there are still even MORE corrupt officials at top levels of the DOJ? If so, why is there still a DOJ?
I’m not sure which ones are lying and which ones are brainwashed/insane, but the effect is the same.
To the surprise of absolutely no one, these powerful D.C. people are all-consumed with protecting their own power and status. They care not a whit for the general welfare of the country.
You are assigning grandiose powers to Pelosi. Why would you be surprised that a liar will lie?
As the saying goes...the flac gets heavy as you get right over the target. Maybe it’s just about the time for Barr to open the bomb bay doors.

Perhaps, but does the honorable AG have any (indictable - in a way that can't be 'lawyered' away) bombs and, if so, does he have the inclination to release them. This to say that we'll find out how much of the right stuff Barr is made of.
Under the democrats’ theory of obstruction of justice, aren’t all of the democrat congresscritters who have been attacking Barr and demanding that he resign committing obstruction of justice?
