Did a search and noting popped up so...

The California Senate moved forward Thursday in its effort to keep President Trump off the primary ballot in 2020 unless he releases his tax returns.

The state Senate approved a bill, 27-10, requiring candidates that on the presidential primary ballot to release at least five years’ worth of tax returns. This would include President Trump, who has refused to release his returns, citing that he is under audit.

"We believe that President Trump, if he truly doesn’t have anything to hide, should step up and release his tax returns,” said Democratic state Sen. Mike McGuire, one of the bill’s co-authors, reports the Associated Press.

Every GOP state senator voted against the measure.

Well heck yeah because, who cares, if there really are Trump supporters in CA, about disenfranchising and suppressing their votes. You know, for the good of the country. Looks like the fruits and nuts have blossomed yet again. Yes, I know there are a lot of conservatives living in CA. Just not enough.

Maybe the California Republican Party can go to a caucus system for their primary. Alternatively, on a primary ballot Trump can win as a write-in.

Can’t keep ineligible candidates off ballots, though.........

Obama had THREE nationalities at birth, same as Three Nationality Harris.

Natural born citizens have ONE nationality at birth, that’s why they are NATURALLY citizens.

If they do this, it will bite them in the butt by suppressing the popular vote. Dems will have no pressing reason to come out and vote. Downticket races will suffer as well.

I say have at it, Dems.

Completely unconstitutional. Sates cannot impose restrictions on Federal office seekers beyond what the US Constitution lays out. Also, the movement by a group of states to assign their Electoral College votes to the winner of the national popular vote is also unconstitutional because states cannot form a compact. Both are just more feel-good wastes of time.

So what does this all mean? Is it simply virtue-signaling? Will actions like this have any effect in the general election?

These are the same Liberal Fascist hypocrites who love go on and on about “Voter Suppression.” Truly, if it wasn’t for double standards the Left would have no standards at all.

This cannot stand, even in States that are guaranteed to vote for the Democrat presidential candidates this is obviously intended to dampen turnout for down-ballot Republican candidates.

Of course California did a fine job stealing all the Republican legislative seats in the 2018 midterms with their clever “ballot harvesting” - also known as Chickenshit-Banana-Republic-Vote-Fraud.

Constitutes an amendment to the US Constitution.
Unconstitutional on it face.

Just Sold our House and left CA after living there for 60 years.
Lived in S. OC, a beautiful area that went Rat after the Votes were “harvested” by Illegal Dreamers.

normally the concern is and should be a question of; did he enriched himself from his public office?
What we see and know is he, unlike all other before him, came into the office rich and thusly has no need to enriched himself. They are just fishing.

IF you want to talk enrichment due to the office, look at nObama!

Aren’t you glad we don’t have a national popular vote election? In such a scenario, these grandstanding legislators would have to be listened to, as it stands, who cares if Trump is on the ballot in California or Illinois come November 2020?

“so what? any one of the 20 demholes in their 2020 clown-car would carry CA over DJT anyway”

If California gets away with this, Dims in other states where President Trump may win will try it.

I'd like to see any state that imposes extra-constitutional requirements on a presidential candidate have their electors excluded from the electoral college.

California is dead to me. This isn’t your mother’s United States.

We are living in Dr. Zhivago, but without the love triangle.

The state Senate approved a bill, 27-10, requiring candidates that on the presidential primary ballot to release at least five years’ worth of tax returns ............................. Why just the Presidential ballot? Why not every candidate for any office? I would like to see some of the Congress critters entry tax forms and compare them with the ones from 4 years later. Transparency can not be one sided, we need one set of rules for all.
