South Korea seems like they are dying to rebuild the north.
It’s an option but a horrible one at that. If that happens it’s the last likely you’ll hear if “AmericanInTokyo”, “TigerLikesRooster”, “sushiman”, “gaijin” et al. Don’t want that.
Having said that, it’s an election year. It’ll never happen. My take is that a positive spin will continue on this —which Kim fully expects and hopes for—until and unless there is a Twitter explosion, patience has run its course, wrath over being screwed over in a business deal can only be repressed just far.

You don't understand, I don't fully understand it, but it worked in NK whereas communism more or less failed elsewhere.
NK is prepared for one salvo of tactical and strategic nukes; think of NK as a Glock that loads on the draw -- if they ever see more than 3 inbounds they can't identify, they are firing, going to the tunnels for 12-24 hours, then whatever's left of the worm-eaten Army will be ordered to go self-immolating apeshit on Seoul; while Ronery's mini-me's abroad sue for peace; while Fat Boy himself begs every potential AoE nation to go rogue and join them.
It'll all be over in a week, but will probably take a double-tap on Ping-Pong to get our desired result.
Note that when the US war-gamed this scenario within the past decade, the US initially lost the first round when Fat Boy fired everything at once. He tore up USPACFLT in theater, and you'll have to imagine what happened next cuz I ain't repeatin' it.

Agreed with your post 100% I called for a huge military build up on the Korean Peninsula two/three ago including redeploying our tactical nukes along with building up a proper robust missile/missile defence shield that can withstand and take out EMP’s of North Korea as well as our other enemies.
We are playing with American lives here. we live in this “feel good” bubble and ignore reality . It is sad to watch. Trump needs to GET REAL — And QUICK!!
