Friday’s interview is not the only time Barr raised the issue of the Obama administration’s failure to respond to Russian attempts at election interference.
During her hour-long interview last week of Attorney General William Barr, “CBS This Morning” journalist Jan Crawford focused mainly on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of President Trump. She also, however, questioned Barr on the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) efforts to ensure that Russian attempts to interfere in our elections are not repeated in 2020.
This revealed the attorney general is probing a second scandal of the Obama administration related to the 2016 presidential election. Or it would be regarded as a second scandal if it garnered more attention: Why the Obama administration failed to forcefully respond to intelligence of Russian interference in our elections.

The Obama administration failed to tell Trump that they were investigating individuals connected to his campaign for collusion with Russia.
The FBI did not interview interview George Papadopoulos until January 2017 even though they said he was colluding with the Russians in July 2016. Why didn't the FBI question Papadopoulos in July if he were working with the Russians to influence the election?
In October, Christopher Steele told Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec “The Russians have succeeded in placing an agent inside the DNC” yet the Obama administration and the FBI did absolutely nothing.
Because they were doing it, too...............
There were a helluva lot more than Russians meddling. British, Italians, Australians and I’m the list goes on.
Simple. Because they were closely working with the Russians from the get-go to hurt Trump and help Hillary.

Why Did The Obama Administration Ignore Reports Of Russian Election Meddling?
Either it was Made up Fantasy or they were doing so at Obama’s direction.
What do I win??
Assuming that to be true, ignoring for the moment the details of their involvement, ie, exactly who the people in these other countries were, the Russia angle is clearly the most important and central to this elaborate hoax.
For example, all the evidence for Ukrainian involvement points to PRO-RUSSIA people in the Ukraine trying to help Hillary, and also Joe Biden and his son.
Because they knew the reports weren’t real and that they had cooked them up as a political dirty trick.
Because reports of Russian interference played right into their ALREADY IN MOTION PLAN to mess with Trump by using the dossier to spy on him and not tell him.
THEY, and the folks you often defend on the Russia threads, the RUSSIANS.
There is a mountain of evidence closely trying the Russians in on this sophisticated hoax. And they obviously had many reasons to have wanted Hillary to win over Trump.
Even for the dumbest, most poorly informed, folks here, or anywhere, this should be by now a complete no-brainer.
Why?
Because through Billary, Inc. and the DNC the Obama administration - certain key persons in the Obama administration - KNEW their agents were working with the Russians who were working with Steele on his Trump dossier. Their collusion with Russians lay silent, and then as Hillary was about to lose, and then lost, a different “Russian collusion” scenario became necessary.
So, it was all an elaborate hoax cooked up to appear to be the Russians, but they were very clever in intentionally making the whole thing look like a hoax, to favor the Democrats?
Huh? That doesn’t even make sense.
They were 99% sure Hillary was going to win.
And they didn’t want to give Trump any credence to be able to call out a “rigged” election.
It’s fun to force the question on the Dems, but we all know the answer.
1) Strzok, Page, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, et al, loathed Trump and fervently wanted Hillary to be elected.
2) If the Russians were endangering their candidate’s election, the IC cabal would have at least tried to stop them before the fact.
3) They did nothing to stop Russian interference before the election.
4) All their efforts were aimed at creating an October Surprise, then crippling Trump after his election.
Conclusion: The FBI, etc., did not believe for one second that Russia was stealing the election. It was all a creation of their own factory and they knew it.
1. Because the Obama administration asked Russia to meddle - to help Hillary.
2. Because the Obama administration was working with the Russians to meddle - to help Hillary.
Hillary was supposed to win.
It obviously didn't "look like a hoax" to the millions of people who bought into it via the scumbag treasonous democrat politicians and their fake news media leftist comrades who pushed the BS 24/7 for nearly 3 friggin years.

I actually laughed when I read the Hillary part of the Dossier.
The Dossier claims that a file on Hillary "had been collated by Department K of the FSB for many years, dating back to her husband Bill's presidency, and comprised mainly eavesdropped conversations of various sorts rather than details/evidence of unorthodox or embarrassing behavior. Some of the conversations were from bugged comments CLINTON had made on her various trips to Russia and focused on things she had said which contradicted her current position on various issues."
Did everyone catch that? The "dirt" the Russians had on Hillary was that she had a public position and a private position on certain issues.
Think of all the Hillary scandals. The woman is like the Peanuts character Pig Pen surrounded by her own cloud of scandal dirt.
Her corruption and lawlessness and lies. Concealed serious health problems. Excessive drinking. Angry tirades and uncontrolled outbursts. Rumored lesbianism and strange relationship with Muslim Brotherhood-connected Huma. The Clinton Foundation scam. Her role in attacking Bill's women and victims. The secret server and illegal handling of government secrets. Destroying evidence. Benghazi. Both her and Bill's many trips to Pedo Island. On and on.
And what do the Russians have on Hillary? Any of that? No. They have dirt that she has a public and a private position on certain issues.
So what was going on here? I think the Dossier writer was trying to get ahead of the disclosures about her secret paid speeches to Goldman Sachs and other bankers in which she seems to be saying things at odds with her public position.
Remember Hillary's secret speech to bankers in which she dreamed about open borders throughout the entire western hemisphere? That was leaked by Wikileaks in October 2016.
I think this was damage control by Hillary's Dossier hoax writers: they knew leaks of these speeches were coming, and they were going to blame the leak of Hillary's secret speeches to bankers on the Russians, and try to distract from the substance of what she said. They were laying a foundation. In the event, they were really not in a position to make much use of that excuse, but they were preparing it.
Much like they were able to distract from the substance of the email leak disclosures, for example that she and the DNC rigged the primaries against Bernie, by focusing on Russia as the leaker of the information.
The easy answer would be that they believed Russia would intervene in their favor.
Obama, Clinton, and other lefties feel like that the (ex)communists should be on their side.
Don’t forget, the dems mocked conservatives for wanting to be hardline against Putin and Russia before 2016.
The Russia probe never ever had anything to do with Russia to them. It had everything to do with any instrument that hurts Trump and helps them.

Regarding #2, exactly right. As for #1, the Russians obviously had a major stake in the outcome of the election, given that the Obama-Biden-Hillary admin had bent over backwards handing Putin all that he wanted in such critically important areas as missile defense, the New Start nuke treaty, the Iran nuke (and big cash) deal, Uranium-One deal, etc, etc. This besides their near dismantling of OUR military.
There way in hades that the Russians would have preferred a strong-on-defense Trump-Pence team to win. Especially now of all times when they are in the process of basically restoring their lost (evil) empire.
