"just beginning". "Just" crossed the line? No. They crossed that line in the early 90s when they started whining about the Confederate flag and when they started attacking Confederate symbols. What you mean is that they just started attacking symbols YOU happen to value. We Southerners have been telling you this was coming for an entire generation.
While I completely agree with you that tearing down the confederate flags and monuments was idiotic bigotry there was still a small (very small) rational defense to it as tacit support of slavery. Of course that completely flew in the face of reality and showed how ignorant these people were but I had always hoped it was temporary, silly emotionalism and pandering.
Now they’re attacking America as a whole.
