Polls consistently show that immigration now tops the list of voter concerns and that there is strong support for securing the border, ending asylum abuse, and ending catch-and-release policies.
Republicans are in control of the Senate, where bills that would do all of those things are teed up and ready to go. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., just needs to schedule a floor debate and a vote something he has inexplicably refrained from doing.
But McConnell and the Republicans are in a no-lose situation. If they can peel away a handful of purple state Democrats, they can claim credit for addressing a top-of-the-mind concern for American voters. In essence, they would force their political rivals to make a difficult choice. Do they side with concerns of the vast majority of Americans, or do they side with radicals?
The ever-worsening immigration crisis dictates that it is time for congressional Republicans to move decisively on sensible border enforcement and asylum reform. Democrats have opened the door for them if they are willing to act on behalf of the American people and common sense.

The GOP is the hopeless party..
They do nothing to help TRUMP
They are the cheap labor party..
I hope so. But they arent dead yet.
Yertle is afraid some of this crap will pass.

(solid cop congressional testimony totally sends AOC stammering, point-blank)
The coming massive voter fraud by the Communist/DNC Party will be of biblical proportions and will easily cover any political gaffes they are making...and then some.
They do nothing to help TRUMP
They are the cheap labor party..
Exactly that's the real scandal here. What happened during the midterms was shameful and it's because of the lack of support for Trump within his OWN party!
Not to mention we just have too many mediocre reps in Congress. We need bold, fresh faces. MAGA types! The one place there has been a surge of such people is new media (think: Candace Owens, etc...) -- but we need young people to run for OFFICE too!
Yes beware.
Awesome. Thanks.
We have to primary out the Bush League Republicans, starting with Flimsey Grahamnesty.
“The GOP is the hopeless party..”
Well, if everything is hopeless, why post this sh*t? Are you looking for someone to stroke your fur and make you feel better?
“Repubs with a winning hand, but won’t play it.”
He may be playing with the timing a bit, since it’s DOA in the House anyway, at least now. Make the Dems have to fight it closer to the election - and who knows, it might just pick up enough support, as the election draws near and the Dems decide they need to at least put on a show of liking America.
If they schedule the vote for a couple months before the election it would for sure cause purple and red state dems to vote yes and it would easily pass. If they do it now, maybe not. Mitch knows this, but can we afford to wait that long on something this important?
One way or another we MUST get control of our immigration system and we MUST HAVE a secure border with a wall. This is a national crisis and we need to correct it NOW!
I really wish a wealthy person would pay to play that on a loop in Times Square for a week. There should be a chyron beneath it that tells NYers that the rest of the Country is laughing at them.
Homan is a bulldog and totally owns Cortez. This is a great example showing Cortez is completely dumbfounded when she encounters someone who can take her off her script.
Without her script, Cortez is just another 29 year old idiot.
As long as we have open primaries in SC and rats can cross over in droves to vote for linda, her seat is secure.
A bad situation but we can encourage the SC legislature to close the primaries. Not much else we can do.
You're talking about "Justice Republicans..."
How about running a Trump Democrat for the Democrat nomination to keep them in their own lane so we can knock off Flimsey?
