No sweat. Since that little anti-military prick, Tommy Cruise, is in it, I’ll pass.
Like him or not, I hope Tom Cruise reprises his role as maverick. I’d like to see him as a Top Gun instructor who’s now faced with a hot-shot pilot going thru the program just like he did.
Not sure if Tom Skerritt is still alive - but I’d love to see him make an appearance too.
Hopefully, there’s room for Val Kilmer to appear as Iceman again.
Seemed to me some of the stunts his character pulled in the first movie would have gotten his ticket punched.
Wasn’t really waiting breathlessly for this.
Nothing I saw in the trailer enticed me.

Val Kilmer gets a pass, he’s very sick. And he’s still much better looking than Kelly.

I had a girlfriend some time ago, who grew up in San Diego. Her family’s house was used in a few scenes in that movie.
F/A-18 and not the F-22? I guess it’s difficult to get enough available F-22’s to make a movie. Most are in state of readiness throughout the world whereas the F/A-18 can be more easily made available without jeopardizing national security.
McGillis was violently raped when she was a struggling actress in NY, but it does appear that she has just given up.
Kilmer had throat cancer.
The movie is like the first it takes place in the US Navy. The F/A 18 is what the USN flies these days.
The Navy doesn’t use F-22s.
Jennifer Connolly is in it. Probably some younger ones too.
Val Kilmer is in it. Others ... Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris. Skerritt is still alive (86), but he's not listed in the cast on this one. Hopefully Kilmer got himself back into shape, otherwise he'll look more like a snowman than his old Iceman character.
Say what you want about Cruise, but the man has made some phenomenal movies.
