President Trump blistered Representative Elijah Cummings on Twitter, calling out the chairman of the House Oversight committee for raising the hue and cry over conditions on the Mexican border, “when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA.” Trump went on to describe Cummings’s West Baltimore constituency as “a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.”
Predictably, the Left—including most of cable news—rushed to condemn Trump as a racist. Speaker Nancy Pelosi — whose father was once mayor of Baltimore — called Cummings “a beloved leader in Baltimore, and deeply valued colleague. We all reject racist attacks against him and support his steadfast leadership.” Senator Elizabeth Warren tweeted, “Donald Trump’s tweets are ugly and racist.” Beto O’Rourke called him “the most openly racist president we’ve had in modern history.” Senator Bernie Sanders chimed in, too.
The operative rule in politics these days seems to be that any criticism of a non-white politician from anywhere to their right is, by definition, a racist attack. Nothing Trump said pertained in any way to Elijah Cummings’s skin color or ethnicity, only to his failure as a legislator and political leader to do anything to improve his district. The real question is: Is he right?

All of us here, know where the “bad” neighborhoods in our hometowns are. It is politically incorrect to talk about such subjects, in part because, a “Venn diagram” type of outline of this subject shows a big overlap between bad areas and members of minority groups in most cities.
I think part of the overall ongoing reaction to Trump, is that he brings up issues which offend the sensibilities of the politically correct crowd.
Witness the reaction here. Rather than talking about the horrible conditions in the ghetto area represents by Cummings, the reaction is to condemn Trump as a racist, rather than address the subject of conditions in these ghetto areas.

IT IS RACIST TO DEFLECT FROM THE PROBLEMS FACED BY THE PEOPLE OF BALTIMORE. That includes poor leadership, with either failed, poor policies, or no policies at all. Sorry Democrats! You failed!!

The Drudge picture and headline today is pure Hitlerian propaganda. The district is a child’s dream playground and Trump attacked the kids. Disgusting lie.
Drudge is more pro-clickbait than anti-Trump.
Cummings could be running a local KKK clan and he would still be reelected unopposed. So, ensconced in a completely safe seat, he spends his time and effort increasing his personal wealth. He could care less about his constitutents and he will idly stand by while his district decays into utter ruin. He will shovel federal dollars toward Johns Hopkins, the State of Maryland and City of Baltimore corrupt fellow Democrat politicians, and the other Civil Rights activists who ensure that they get the money, not the pockets of poverty in the District.

Drudge used to be credible at one time long ago, is now on its way down. Drudge has completely lost its/his credibility, by posting all his fake and obviously untrue propaganda. Once you lose your credibility / your brand’s credibility, you may as well pack up and go home.
I have stopped reading. It used to be one of the most important news aggregation sites now that’s down to Free Republic.
