A watchdog group has filed a complaint with the IRS for the mishandling of a non-profit organization run by Rep. Elijah Cummings’ wife, Maya according to One America News’ Jack Posobiec. The findings are shocking. According to the report, the nonprofit group was “cutting deals” with special interest groups directly tied to Cummings’ House Oversight Committee.
Maya runs her non-profit “Global Policy Solutions” along with a separate for-profit venture. The watchdog alleges her group “received $6.2 million in grants from various corporate backers including Google, JP Morgan, Prudential & Johnson and Johnson.”
The complaint also highlighted that Mrs. Cummings’ separate organizations overlap in leadership, addresses, facilities, projects, and clients. In Addition to this, according to the report, a complaint has been issued to the Maryland Attorney General.

The IRS itself filed a complaint against these businesses of the Cummings’ (a profit and a non-profit with the same name - a classic fraud technique) a couple of months ago.
Folks with business before Cummings’ committee dropped millions into these entities, and straight out hired his wife as a “consultant” for millions more.
If the GOP had a pair they would make sure to ask each and every company, individual, or entity of any kind that appears before his committee if they donated any money to the chairman’s non-profit or for profit company.
Ask every single person who appears since they are under oath.
This has gone on for far too long and while some of the republicrats have played similar games this is a similar, albeit much smaller, Clinton foundation model.
Why is the GOP not smarter? I know... rhetorical question, but all it would take is one pubbie on the committee and the fireworks would commence. Be retroactive about it for crying out loud.... send congressional inquiry letters to each person who appeared before the committee in the last four years and ask the same question. Compile a report and release it.
Compare this allegation to the ridiculous claims of corruption because diplomats are booking a room at the Trump hotel in DC. Trump is showing them how to fight, but with a few exceptions they are either dumb as rocks or hopelessly corrupt.

Federal prosecutors allege Brown’s charity was to give scholarships to underprivileged students, but instead acted as the personal slush fund for Brown and her associates.
The indictment said that Brown and Simmons “filled the coffers of Brown and her associates” with One Door donations for their personal and professional benefit, totaling $800,000, much of which was deposited in cash to Brown’s personal bank accounts.
On May 11, 2017, former congresswoman Brown was convicted on 18 of 22 corruption charges ranging from mail fraud to filing a false federal tax return.
On December 4, 2017, she was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay restitution. She reported on January 29, 2018 to Coleman Federal Correctional Complex in Sumter County, Florida, near Wildwood, to begin her sentence.
She is appealing her conviction, and will continue to collect her Congressional pension until her appeal is concluded.
And on top of that, there was a fire at his Baltimore row house in 2015. Cummings blamed it on a tenant. An investigation into the fire was supposed to occur, but I couldn't find any results. The one thing I did find was that Cummings had never procured the proper City paperwork to rent the place out. So just how much rent did he receive from that tenant, that he never claimed on his taxes? I don't think a proper investigation into that has ever been done.
