No one should ever have to prove they are harmless and competent to own a gun, it should always be incumbent upon the state to prove they are not, BEFORE taking away any weapons.

Exactly- this is exactly what red flag laws do- force people to prove they are innocent simply for owning a gun and for having someone who dislikes them turn them in falsely-
This isn’t how our judicial system is supposed to work-
