If President Trump goes down this road and laws are passed that erode our 2nd Amendment rights then he will lose my support.

It's this fallacy, that we have a '2nd Amendment' right that doesn't help in my opinion.

The 2nd Amendment is a prohibition on government, it doesn't confer any rights on the citizenry. As written, it's already been eroded multiple times, and will no likely undergo further erosion.

If President Trump passes a law that erodes the limitations of the Second Amendment by government then he is violating the Second Amendment and I would want him gone.
