The only private sales I’ve heard of at gun shows are the rare instances where a private seller will set up a table and sell his private collection.
Listening to the dems, you would think ALL purchases made at gun shows are done without a background check and that is simply not true. Most sales have the background check.
I didn’t even know that it was possible to purchase a firearm online without a background check.
I’ve never purchased a firearm online, but I always thought if a buyer went to say, gunbroker.com or auctionarms.com and purchased a firearm, the weapon would be shipped to a federally licensed gun store near the buyer, and the buyer would pay a fee to the local gun store for a background check before being given the firearm.
‘Ole Michael Bloomberg funded a “citizen’s initiative” to ban the sale of private firearms here in Maine. He had has paid minions gather enough signatures for it to be placed on the ballot in November, 2016.
The police chiefs in Maine did commercials on TV, in uniform, supporting Bloomberg’s proposal, even though Maine and Vermont share the lowest crime rates in America.
The Sheriffs on Maine also did commercials on TV urging Maine voters to vote “No on 3,” meaning tell Bloomberg to take a hike and keep the private sales of firearms in Maine.
Despite being hugely outspent, on election night the “No” vote won, Bloomberg was defeated, and we still have the private sale of firearms in Maine.
The Maine House and Senate passed Constitutional Carry in 2015 and the governor signed the bill.
Also in November 2016, Donald Trump carried Maine’s mostly
rural 2nd Congressional District and won one electoral vote.
The Hildabeast won the more liberal southern Maine 1st district for one electoral vote.
She won the statewide vote by 2.9% for two more electoral votes.
The 2nd Congressional district is 80% of the state....27,000 square miles, the largest in area east of the Mississippi, and candidate Trump won it by 10 points. It is huge 2nd Amendment country.
It will be interesting to hear the president’s speech at his rally Thursday night in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Seems like having “evidence” contrary to the legal system would require that”evidence” be thrown out and not be usable...
Of course, then the standard would be that they originally obtained it illegally, and it was willfully given, and, “So there”....
