Arizona joins other states calling on Supreme Court to overturn DACA
Tucson Sentinel ^ | August 30, 2019 | Wissam Melhem

Arizona joined 12 other states this week that asked the Supreme Court to roll back Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, a program that they say has caused “irreparable harm” to their states.

The brief was filed on behalf of 12 attorneys general and one governor, all Republicans, who claimed that the program is unlawful and urged the Supreme Court to overturn lower courts that have so far blocked Trump administration efforts to end DACA...

The attorneys general point to court rulings striking down related programs – an expanded DACA and a deferral program for parents of DACA recipients – as proof that DACA should suffer the same fate...

The Supreme Court combined three cases that successfully challenged the Trump administration’s “wind down” of DACA into one case, which it is scheduled to hear arguments on in November.

It was never constitutional in the first place.

I love Trump.

We MUST ensure that president Trump gets re-elected, otherwise the Marxists will be back with this criminal legislation.

It was designed to, morons! What part of “fundamentally transform” don’t you understand?

Illegal latinos sneaking into the US whine about “a better life” but their hidden agenda is far different...
America polity is paying a huge price. Dreamers’ vote-harvesting schemes are a distinct detriment to our way of life.

<><> Latinos are organized into identity pressure groups-—according to places of origin.-——exchanging political favors and tax dollars for delivering identity votes.
<><> At last count, the nationwide “Hispanic Federation” had $22 million in public funds financing these anti-American activities.
<><> The “Hispanic Federation” was criticized for lobbying for their investors’ interests (supporting a NYC lawsuit against the restriction of sugar-sweetened beverages. Following the lawsuit, Coca-Cola became the co-chair of the Hispanic Federation Gala and was awarded their Corporate Leadership Award.
<><> Hispanic Federation’s then-President, Lillian Lopez-Rodriguez, accepted the position as Coke’s Hispanic Affairs Director shorty after the lawsuit.
<><> Hispanic Federation’s discretionary funding is a pressing issue for the municipal government.
<><> In July 2014, the NY Hispanic Federation received a $1.3 million grant from the NY City Council, quadrupling its previous grant. Over and above the public money it extorts, the Hispanic Federation’s relations with politically-connected lobbying firm and their influence on the City Council was seen as a conflict of interest b/c of lobbyist Luis Miranda Jr.’s MirRam Group. City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito is a MirRam accounting client, manipulating her decision in grant-making to be pressured by lobbyists.
<><> The NY Hispanic Federation’s connections with MirRam is seen as a corrupt relationship. The Federation’s Board is made up of from company managers with at least two being MirRam clients; the corporate-dominated board allows for the advancement of interests of the lobbyist group to precede those of Latino communities.

DACA is not legislation, criminal or otherwise.

It is the result of a presidential directive, stroke of the pen stuff.

The real question is: How is it that a presidential directive from one president cannot be changed/discarded by another president? Why is this even a question? Is Obama more of a president than Trump?

I know we seem to say this every election, but I truly believe that if we don’t win this next one, we are done.

One thing we've learned with the Trump administration is that the Judiciary is out of control and takes its marching orders from the Deep State. A big mistake by President Trump has been announcing things ahead of time so the Deep State can have Judges in place to stop things, even if they aren't in their jurisdiction.

I do not understand why one judge, if it's a political enemy, has more power than the President. Can we even trust the Supreme Court if DACA gets there?

I have wondered how binding these directives are when said Presidents leave office.

DACA is not law; it is the absence of law.

It’s astounding that such a policy can be endorsed and enforced by judges who, y’know, are supposed to rule according to the law.

Well, let's check what the constitution says about presidential directives.

Wait a minute...

I drove past a school bus stop the other day.

Upscale zip code, one of those ‘mixed use’ setups with apartments, townhouses and some smallish detached houses. Nice landscaping. Probably 25 kids all told.

Not one white face. Mostly Latino and subcontinental Asian.

They are here in their numbers already and already breeding like minks.

They’re as interested in abortion as they are in the NHL draft.

Meanwhile, native born American whites and, to a lesser degree, blacks have been sold a bill of goods by the abortion lobby. The result: demographic upheaval as abrupt as yanking a tablecloth off.

Top-down implementation of Marxism proved too costly, slow and ineffective. The 2nd Amendment and others kept the government at bay for a while.

But Marxists/globalists would not be denied. Now they are ‘flooding the basement’ with Third Worlders. If your vote cannot be negated then it will be diluted by lax immigration enforcement and a ridiculously one sided visa program. The elites are bound and determined to bring America to heel and if that means turning it into a Tijuana or Calcutta sewer then so be it.

One of the biggest problems we as Americans face today is liberal judges that think the law means only what they say it means, not what it actually says...

They are liberals first, and DACA “feels” right to them. Repeal would be mean and hurtful, probably racist. It’s all about warm and fuzzy feelings, not law.

Absolutely depressing. It began with oh a few coming in Isn’t so bad and soon are overwhelmed. I see the same with Muslims. Oh 3 in elected government isn’t so bad and soon they have majority in all positions. Totally see this happening.

It was one of those heartstring-tugging, tear-jerking, carefully curated narratives about DREAMers we’re supposed to read and then respond to with sympathy. But a story that ran in the Los Angeles Times yesterday accidentally did more to raise questions about the issue of ballot-harvesting in California than any raving right-wing warning tome could ever do.
The Times describes how California’s famed ballot-harvestors, who flipped places such as Orange County blue in the last midterm, aren’t actually citizens. They did it by “helping” voters fill out, and turn in, and continue to turn in, ballots from otherwise uncommitted voters until they got the result they wanted. Here’s the DREAMers “helping” the voters vote the way they wanted, in action:

In California, Dreamers like Cruz phoned voters, walked precincts and protested outside Republican lawmakers’ offices, reaching people who had not been called or visited by either party. Their efforts helped boost turnout among Latinos in this year’s midterm election — 29 million nationwide were eligible to vote, according to the Pew Research Center — which is projected to surpass levels higher than in past presidential election years, political analysts said.
An analysis of data from eight states by the Latino Policy and Politics Initiative at UCLA found the Latino vote grew by an estimated 96% from 2014 to 2018, compared with 37% among non-Latinos. The surge, researchers said, helped move 20 House districts held by Republicans to Democratic control in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, New Jersey and New York.
And here’s how they actually did it: Half an hour later, she was helping Silva look up candidates as he filled out his ballot by the light of her phone. “I’m glad you guys came,” he said. “I was going to leave it in my drawer.”

Elites and politicians of all colors know that the ‘better life’ and ‘American dream’ and ‘law abiding’ and ‘nation of immigrants’ horseflop is just that.

They want a rabble, preferably an uneducated, poor, grasping, subdued rabble.

New arrivals may not speak the King’s English but they know the welfare system backwards and forwards. They talk about getting the freebies the way you and I talk about the weather. Fraud, in their minds, does not exist. If it’s there it is to be taken. ‘Socialism’ is the political version of Las Vegas in which everyone is eventually impoverished except for a very small few.
