Own a rifle? Got a scope to go with it? The government might soon know who you are, where you live and how to reach you.
Thats because Apple and Google have been ordered by the U.S. government to hand over names, phone numbers and other identifying data of at least 10,000 users of a single gun scope app, Forbes has discovered. Its an unprecedented move: Never before has a case been disclosed in which American investigators demanded personal data of users of a single app from Apple and Google. And never has an order been made public where the feds have asked the Silicon Valley giants for info on so many thousands of people in one go.
According to a court order filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on September 5, investigators want information on users of Obsidian 4, a tool used to control rifle scopes made by night-vision specialist American Technologies Network Corp. The app allows gun owners to get a live stream, take video and calibrate their gun scope from an Android or iPhone device. According to the Google Play page for Obsidian 4, it has more than 10,000 downloads. Apple doesnt provide download numbers, so its unclear how many iPhone owners have been swept up in this latest government data grab.

Just the FBI laying ground work for the potential democrat return to power.
It’s a great scope...
I posted the other day that President Trump is in office but not in control, as events clearly demonstrate, and was told by another freeper that he should resign if he’s that helpless.
Most people can’t wrap their heads around Fedzilla.
I wouldn’t doubt it.
The big tech folks are not defenders of our freedoms by any stretch of the imagination. They’re not the only ones either.
It really amazes me the business owners who buy off on the Leftist wish list.
"Our files show you were ABOUT to use this app, is that true, sir..?"
Useless app. But its installed.
I have nothing that itll work with.
apple denied fbi phone access to a known killer terrorist after the fact,
but yet eagerly provides info on lawful citizens who oppose their views ..

Good observation. We see a similar situation over in the UK with Boris Johnson. Mark Steyn has an interesting article about how boxed in Johnson has become. His opponents don’t mind if he is in charge — they just want to make sure he can’t do anything.
This is tyranny and must be stopped.
Someone may have the app and no gun scope. If the app is doing nothing illegal, then the people who initiated this need to be kicked out of office.
If the app is illegal, then they can have it banned. Otherwise, go get kicked by a duck.
“Lighten Up,

But,
It’s to be

To use streaming in order to REMOTELY use a precision rifle:
In what way do you think the authorities fear it would be used?
I think everyone who thinks about it knows.
Put Bernie Sanders or Beto or any of the others in office and see what happens.
Is this supposed to make us feel better?
"You think things suck with our guy running the show? Just wait'll until their guy is running it!"
Put me on the list (((ping))) .
Banglist (((ping)))) .
My prediction:
Any member of Antifa owning this app over the next two or maybe six years will be go totally unmolested by the authorities, especially if he has a really long Arab name containing dashes and “Al”:
He has nothing to worry about.
If one of US owns this?
You can cuff yourself now.
None of my guns have scopes.
Downloaded it anyway.
So those who have ARs and AKs have some scopes...many more do not. But most deer hunters definitely do have scopes. So once again the deer hunter with a scoped bolt action rifle will be the one who gets investigated.
Attention Deer hunters who think its OK to condemn those nasty black rifles. Forget it. Theyre coming for you!
Google, Apple:
1. We’re very uncomfortable collabbing with the D.O.D.
2. We’re okay to do that with PRC intel, though, no prob
3. Can’t hand over a scum-bag’s kiddie porn to the cops
4. We operate a Hand-Over Express if a Tea-Party guy owns this app
Feds might be aggressive on this issue.
