It was a Pyrrhic Victory:
Sullivan conveniently waited until after Stevens lost his bid for reelection.
I think that was deliberate.
If I understood what I read earlier on it, he was convicted right before Election Day. Could be Pyrrhic on the part of the judge or it could be a textbook example of election interference, this time perpetrated by DOJ attorney’s and the timing of the trial.
