It truly is what The Founder’s intended.
Yep, every able-bodied citizen is militia member, and militia members have the same weapons as regular army infantrymen.
The ‘logic’ Beta doesn’t get is that when in a society respect for the sacredness of life diminishes to the point at which ~2000 people get shot in one city in less than 9 months (Chicago), people kill children in schools, it’s open season on the police, and legislators in some states pass laws allowing ‘abortion after birth’, it doesn’t matter what ‘weapons’ you may or may not ban. It’s the people who are doing the killing, and as long as they want to kill, they will find a way.
Very likely true - some early militia organizations included field artillery units.
More to the point of the article: how long would it be before President DumBeto banned civilian ownership of potato guns?
;^)
Men used to own warships that they even lent to the government heh.
In the Founders era, private individuals owned cannons. Private individuals could own warships, otherwise being able to license privateers through “letters of marque and reprisal” would not have worked.
This man’s ignorance is truly incredible. It’s only matched by the Press’s
Article 1 Section 8, Letters of Marque and Reprisal.
Precisely what prescribed armament would be permitted on a congressionally authorized privateer, in Bobo O’Rourke’s daffy world?
It truly is what The Founders intended.

You get IT! The clear and simple language says “... keep and bear arms...” and “ ... shall not be infringed ...”
If the Second Amendment does not mean what it says, how can we know if the First Amendment means what it says?
Same question, but the Fifth Amendment?
Fourth Amendment?
Do the Bill of Rights only apply if they are not a threat to government?
Not according to the Founders; according to the Founders they are so great that they exceed the law of the land. In fact, they are part of the basis of the laws of the land.
MAGA
Youre right. The founders never sought a limit on the amount of firepower The People could possess. They wanted us to have the skill, courage and determination to band together and destroy threats as necessary. The government wasnt even supposed to have an army or weapons for that matter.
But we grew soft and let others protect us and ceded a lot of our sovereignty in the process.
Right on.
Honestly, I never wanted to own a bazooka until beta Male talked about it.
Now I want one.
