Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., defended President Donald Trumps recent calls for China and Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden in a combative "Meet the Press" interview Sunday morning during which he accused Democrats and the media of trying to sabotage the Trump administration.
Let me tell you why Im pretty sympathetic with what President Trump has gone through, Johnson said when asked about allegations of an effort by the president and his administration to link military aid for Ukraine to promises from the government there to investigate Biden and the origins of former special counsel Bob Mueller's investigation into foreign interference in the 2016 election.
Ive never in my lifetime seen a president, after being elected, not having some measure of well wishes from his opponents. Ive never seen a presidents administration be sabotaged from the day after the election.

Johnson wanted to talk about Trump investigating the origins of the Russia Collusion lie and Chuck Todd wanted to focus on Trump and the whistleblower.
This is an explosive interview.
I suggest everyone watch this interview and then the full Meet the Press show which includes an interview with John Brennen.

It’s Chuck Tard. Spell his last name correctly please.
Good that Johnson is speaking out and makes the right points.
I hope other Republicans hurry up and do the same, not let the Dems lies stand.
FINALLY!!!! Some one on the right GOP fighting back...I loved watching take apart FCT!
It’s good to hear some republican coming out supporting the president. There haven’t been very many so far.
Is Senator Johnson of Wisconsin up for re-election in 2020? Maybe he has noticed that having Trump support a Senator in 2018 had a very positive effect on his re-election. Either way, I am glad Johnson has spoken up for Trump.
Tell me about it. The media is the biggest problem in this country and Republicans do nothing about it. We are a free nations with a Goebbels propaganda network acting as our press. Just imagine the crap they would be spewing if it wasn’t for the internet to contradict them.
That seditious bastage should be shown to the wood chipper, then fed to his fellow urinalists.
Chuck Todd is a very annoying punk.
Trump was sabotaged from the moment he came down the escalator at Trump Tower to announce his run for President in 2015.
He’s putting it mildly.
The Democrat administration directed the fell powers of government to manufacture a premise against the Republican whom America elected in an effort to overturn the results of the national election.
An attempted coup.
no one need respect them or take them seriously now. same for congress.
just watch lewandoski tie nadler in a knot.
where this goes and what it means, we don't know, but it is a different battle field now.
raw power grab, that's all that counts. constructive lawmaking?, nope, that's gone
I hate to say this is a 'must watch' video but if you watch it you won't be disappointed.
Then watch the full episode. There's a lot going on in each segment.
Well that makes one except for turdle who wants us to send him money to do his job.
The press is the victim? Chuck Todd and I have very different definitions of the word ... victim.
“Trump was sabotaged from the moment he came down the escalator at Trump Tower to announce his run for President in 2015.”
Shortly after that, the Never Trumpsters on FR went after him 24/7 until Jim thinned out that herd of trolls.
And a member of a very large cadre of very annoying punks.
Trump is hitting nerves and threatening the entire establishment’s status quo.
The central government has become an entity unto itself. Its become a money laundering enterprise.
Hence the sabotage.
The Democrat administration directed the fell powers of government to manufacture a premise against the Republican whom America elected in an effort to overturn the results of the national election.
An attempted coup.
Correct. And the GOP publicly threatened POTUS not to among other things remove Sessions after he allowed the DAG to become the defacto AG. This is a bipartisan coup in progress. No doubt.
