Rick Perry has denied ever discussing the Biden family's dealings in the Ukraine with Donald Trump after the president appeared to try to pin the scandal on the outgoing energy secretary.
In an interview with CBN News on Friday, Perry said he likely has closer relationships with Ukrainian officials than any other cabinet secretary because he spearheaded US efforts to clean up corruption in the eastern European nation.
The former Texas governor said Joe Biden's name never came up during the many conversations he's had with Trump, other White House officials and foreign ambassadors about his dealings in the Ukraine.
Perry's remarks came hours after Trump reportedly blamed the energy secretary for his now-infamous phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

I agree - the reporter probably ask-bombed Perry (to paraphrase an old blood county strip) “senator Perry is it true that you deny Trumps assertion that you admitted to investigating the Bidens?”
It seems Trump is just making the claim perry had him make the call. Which Perry admits

As far as I can see....there was a bit that he was leaving which I believe was fake news.
Outgoing as a personality trait is another thing.

Apparently he wasn't even asked in the interview if he urged POTUS to make the call.

Yeah....strange headline....doesn’t match story.
Sounds like Perry is defending POTUS, not implicating him.
two different issues.
1. The investigation of the illegal things, Hillary, Biden and Obama did in the 2016 election which Perry probably did talk to Trump about. Which is what most of the phone call was actually about.
And the minor side issue of Bidens son and what might or might not have happened illegally there being investigated by the NEW government of Ukraine in regards to the corrupt former government.
I think this is all FALSE FLAG crap...
Rick Perry has been doing his job, he and Our President have gotten along just fine, no fake news till now...doesn’t seem funny that the dems and RINOs are now trying to get to Trumps Cabinet and Admin. and family to get to him???
