The company's communities are in chaos and US senators are taking notice, following the suspension of a pro 'Hearthstone' player who declared support for Hong Kong's protest movement.
Outrage at Activision Blizzard is mounting after the company suspended Hearthstone pro Chung Blitzchung Ng Wai for declaring his support of Hong Kongs protest movement. Fans are mad, U.S. politicians are angry, and theres evidence that even Blizzards employees are upset.
United States Senators Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) both tweeted their condemnation of Activision Blizzards actions on Tuesday. Blizzard shows it is willing to humiliate itself to please the Chinese Communist Party, Senator Wyden tweeted. No American company should censor calls for freedom to make a quick buck.

This is awful.
Whatever the heck and whoever the heck they’re talking about.
Tencent is a Chinese company that has bought an interest in most gaming companies — anywhere from 5% to more.
It is the largest gaming company in the world; and it owns about a 5% stake in Blizzard/Activision.
So, China will now demand (and likely get) submission from game companies for whatever they demand.
Blizzard shows it is willing to humiliate itself to please the Chinese Communist Party,
We might as well substitute “The Democrat party and most of the Republican party” for “Blizzard” in that statement. Marco Rubio and any Democrat senator having the balls to say one word about this boggles the mind.
That is question Blizzard (Activation, one in the same now, really) has on their minds.
Indeed. Not long ago, an American in Nebraska who worked for the Marriott hotel chain was fired for merely "liking" a "tweet" critical of the Chinese government.
I plan to travel later in the month and will definitely not be staying in a Marriott hotel.
China is a cancer.
The freeee market will work it all out...
World of Appeasement
NBA.
It’s amazing how many absolutely cower and act as sycophant to the ChiComs.
Just think how worse it will be if we don’t deal with them now.
I think China is involved with a lot of our domestic problems and division. There’s an obvious agenda to intentionally destroy the US and western civilization. It always seemed more like something that would come from a foreign enemy. They’ve been using sophisticated influence campaigns for years now. We need to stop all Chinese student visas. We have a problem with them spying, and Chinese nationals are a significant portion of funding for the far left universities that push the insane anti-American agenda that’s destroying us. I wouldn’t doubt if the Russia hoax was created to take attention away from all the Chinese agents in our government. I don’t think Hillary’s emails being sent to a Chinese state-owned company was just negligence.
Blizzard is banned as well now. Communist Chinese-loving cucks, just like the NBA

Its long past time for a national discussion over Chinese ownership in U.S. media companies. Similar things are happening in Hollywood, affecting their output on political topics. And heres this example of computer gaming company Blizzard.
Here is REAL foreign influence in U.S. elections, the kind of influence bought with $hundreds of millions in investments, not a paltry 5 or 6 figure Facebook ad buy that trollishly advocated for both Trump and Hillary.
Why should a foreign totalitarian government be allowed to own media entities here? We are idiots for allowing it.
Hah! Yeah I got it. I watched that one live.
Bad timing for Bliz to do this right before the con. They are going to have some ‘splainin’ to do in a few weeks.
