Is it just me, or does it seem like many (not all) people that come close to winning the Presidency and lose— Al Gore, John Kerry, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton— seem to completely come unhinged afterwards? Maybe the crushing disappointment of losing something they thought they worked hard for (and thought they were owed) was too much for them?
Losing well is a trait only held by people with a sense that something in the universe in greater than they. Oh, and a sense of humor.
Or they were mentally unhinged to start with.
