What a crock!

There isn't a single federal employee alive who would give up a guaranteed life-long, cushy, high-paid, zero-work job over a "policy" disagreement...

Not sure I believe this. This would imply these likely Obama holdovers had principles.

Well, for all you doubting Thomases, who don't believe these "two staffers" are real people, here are photos of those two staffers, which should serve to allay all your doubts about this story.

(I've got an inside tip which says these two staffers are named "Bread" & "Butter" -- I mean, "Eggs" & "Bacon".)

Little bitty people with little bitty educations thinking they have great big responsibilities.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman comes to mind. Does he still have a job?

Yup, like what do you call 10000 government bureaucrats who commit suicide? A good start is the answer.

A court case decided in Nixon’s time declared that the President doesn’t have the basic power to impound money voted by Congress.

I don’t have the text of the bill that granted the money.

Congress might have made its release dependent on Trump verifying a condition to be true in Ukraine.

If the budget staff beseeched

A country buying weapons doesn’t act in the same way as me buying a McDonald’s hamburger.

The Ukrainian legislature would have to pass a bill authorizing money to buy the missiles.

Did it?

No US money would be forthcoming until a missile purchase contract is signed.

The US government isn’t going to just hand Ukraine money.

Most likely the Treasury would issue a check to the missile maker once a copy of the contract is in hand and the Ukrainian check has been delivered to the missile maker.

Exactly what they should do. If you don’t agree with the boss, get the hell out. Pretty simple, actually.

Isn’t this still just hearsay? Why not get these 2 people to come and testify that this is why they resigned? Could it be that they don’t want to say it? Could it be it isn’t why they actually resigned?

A drop in the bucket. Trump needs to do some wholesale firings to downsize the corrupt, lethargic, know nothing, dangerous Washington scum.

I wonder why they didn’t resign when the Obozo Administration didn’t send aid.
