Ah, yes. But it wouldn't be FreeRepublic without folks caring more about who said something vs what the person actually said.
And I would also add that the endless postings critical of "Booms" and "Tick-tocks" have gotten more annoying than the actual Booms and Tick-tocks, themselves. JMO.

Well said, FreeReign.

I'm going to try and lighten things up now. My wife (of 46 years) and I unfortunately watch a lot of news shows. We are almost nuts because of it.
Nevertheless WORDS are a hobby of ours.
We have noticed that for the lat year or so, reporters, athletes politicians, and the rest of the oddballs have all come to use the word, "SO", to begin an answer when they are questioned. (SO .... when we look at the unemployment figures ...... we see great numbers. SO .... global warming is still ........ etc., etc., etc.)
Well .... on FoxNews' Outnumbered (I call it "8 LEGS AND A MAN"), the lovely young lady, Lisa Boothe began an answer to a question with the word "hence".
Isn't that a welcome change from dear Lisa?
We had to go get a bottle of wine from our downstairs "wine cave" and drink to Lisa's wonderful and welcome use of the word "HENCE" instead of the over-used "SO".
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a pleasant New Year.
