NBC reports the Guardian Angels, a private, unarmed crime-prevention group, said it would start patrolling New York City’s Brooklyn borough on Sunday following a series of anti-Semitic attacks.
Curtis Sliwa, who founded the organization in 1979 in New York City, said the patrols would start at noon in the Crown Heights neighborhood and expand to Williamsburg and Borough Park later in the day.
The move came hours before five people were wounded in a stabbing attack during a Hanukkah party at a rabbi’s house in upstate New York late Saturday.
The latest incident followed eight attacks on Jews in Brooklyn since Dec. 13, according to the New York Police Department.
The violence included victims being struck in the face, head and back of the head and at least one suspect throwing a beverage at someone, police said.
“These attacks are taking place, and the cops have not been proactive at all,” Sliwa said Saturday. “It comes from City Hall and the mayor. He’s been just apathetic.”
He should of said:
We are going to patrol neighborhoods infested with proud liberal democrats and go after the root cause of Hate, Anger and Rage.
Word on the street is that de Blasio won’t put people in jail anymore. Its open season on all sorts of crime while it lasts.
Sliwa is one of the great guys.
I met Sliwa once on 34th Street in Manhattan. Talked to him for a couple of minutes..seemed like a very decent guy.
If the Guardian Angels were to patrol a Neighborhood in the South, the Southern Poverty Law Center would list them as a Hate Group.
If they are unarmed, I don’t understand how they will defend themselves against criminals.
Remember when Curtis had a show with Ron Kuby on WABC radio. What a ride.
Why isn't the local community patrolling their community?

New York State has a bail “reform” law scheduled to go into effect in 2020. Bail requirements - and pretrial detention - will be eliminated for nonviolent crimes.
So you wanna shoplift, steal a car, or just break a few windows? Well, go right ahead. You might get arrested. But you’ll be back on the street an hour later. No worries.
Sliwa is a Patriot. Hope the Guardian Angels swell in ranks and recruitments.

And the poorest and worst parts of the city will be hit.
I lived in the project for a little while.
They hate to go more than 5 blocks away from their comfort zone.
They’re not gonna start roving in gangs and doing crimes in middle class white neighborhoods.
Well not mine unless they want to die young.
90% of criminals are deterred from their acts because somebody is watching them. It wont stop a determined criminal, but the fact there are people who are walking around and looking for troublemakers will deter the majority of them.
So the svartzas are the perps? Who knew?
That moron de Blasio actually is twisting the narrative to the lie that white supremacy is causing this. No. Islam is causing this.

Their idea of nonviolent is insane. It includes all sorts of assaults, involuntary manslaughter (which usually occurs during an act of violence where the original intent was not to kill), vehicular homicide, forcing performance of a sexual act by a child, distributing pornography featuring that act, etc.
