I could not agree more. Power and the willingness to use it is the only thing that is respected. Diplomatic efforts are largely a waste of time in some regions of the world and do nothing to bolster credibility or deter aggression.

Exactly. That’s why immediately after the 9/11 attack, the POTUS should have had a world-wide news conference and stated: “Today were attacked by Islam but tomorrow we will be returning the deed. In the next 48 hours, two islamic cities will be MOAB’ed to nothing. The choice of what two cities rests with Islam. IF we do not hear back as to what two cities to bomb within 24 hours from this minute, then we will bomb Mecca and Medina. We’re waiting for your call. Have a nice jiiad.”
