Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander Qasem Soleimani wasn't the only major-league terrorist killed in the drone strike ordered by Trump. Also killed was Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a top Iraqi paramilitary leader whose long, bloody career includes attacks on American and other Western embassies, as well as being a founder of Kata'ib Hezbollah, a group responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers in Iraq.
In 2009, the U.S. sanctioned both al-Muhandis and Kata'ib Hezbollah as terrorist entities.
In some ways, killing al-Muhandis was more significant than the death of Soleimani. He's been an active terrorist against the U.S. since the occupation of Iraq and helped create the umbrella Shia militia group Hashd al-Shaabi. Hashd was originally founded to fight ISIS in Iraq, but has morphed into a shadow organization exercising political and military control of Iraq on behalf of Iran.
...
Muhandis was sentenced to death in Kuwait for involvement in the 1983 bomb attacks on the U.S. and French embassies.
Muhandis worked assiduously to develop the Hashd into an organisation that was neither subject to full prime ministerial command nor subordinate to the conventional security forces
...
al-Muhandis was widely recognised as the Hashd's "real" leader...
He had both the utmost loyalty of its forces on the ground and control over its financial resources.
That made him "the central nervous system" of the IRGC's Quds Force in Iraq,
...
The death of Muhandis is a tremendous blow to Iranian influence in Iraq. Since Hashd exercised influence throughout the region, his death will be felt from Damascus to Beirut to Tehran. Muhandis was seen as something of a hero by many Shias in Iraq. But the fact is, he was a murderous, hateful fanatic who was an enemy of the United States and a threat to American interests and personnel.

Does Iran have a navy?
“Does Iran have a navy?”
Yes, but it mostly consists of smaller, coastal-defense boats; NOT a blue-water Navy.
In a manner of speaking.
Obama certainly respected it.
“Meet the Other Major Terrorist”
They all look alike to me.
I won’t for very long if it attempts to blockade the straits of hormuz.
From pictures I’d say so.
Remember when 0bama rolled over when one of our boats was captured in international waters and he did nothing?
How will the assh*les at the Washington Post enshrine this killer's memory in words of respect?
I disagree.....He did exactly what Iran asked him to do...stand down.
Obviously Damascus thru the terrorist under the bus.... Trump was waiting for him. Same intelligence that set up Al Baghdadi........
You think that Trump would have stood down?
SPJNK.
They also have Soviet/Russian built anti-ship missiles along their southern coast and around the Straits of Hormuz.

Recall Iran’s bass boat Navy humiliated the US Navy when our sailors surrendered themselves, their weapons and sensitive gear under Obama’s regime. Then they talked about how well they had been treated and we let bygones be bygones.
They also captured other key players who will presumably be providing helpful information
Its pretty obvious Iran was ramping up operations to stir up conflict in order to help remove President Trump from office
Soleimani was considered as untouchable as anyone in this world which is no doubt causing some concern with the rest of the untouchables
Soleimani was seemingly in process of kicking off a world wide uprising aimed at destroying the President as an adjunct to impeachment
Perhaps President Trump is kicking off his counter offensive
IMHO, the Presidents team have spent the last 3 years anticipating the playbook of the opposition and getting prepared to deal aggressively with various situations created by various players as they arise.
Not only decapitated Irans Quds, but unmentioned by anyone is the message the hermit kingdom has heard. Imagine a lot less noise from them now.
