You have to be naive as a babe to believe that journalism is objective, and that all words (“liberal,” “moderate,” “progressive,” “centrist” . . .) which connote political virtue actually mean “in accordance with the political perspective of the journalism cartel.”

I regret to inform John Solomon that the rules for commercial success in journalism - “If it bleeds, it leads” and “‘Man Bites Dog,’ not ‘Dog Bites Man’” - are negative towards society. If your coverage is negative towards society, and if you claim to be objective, you are actually cynical towards society. And cynicism towards society corresponds to naiveté towards government. Corresponds, that is, to socialism . . .
