At this moment, all we can do is trust the experience in these constitutional matters to those like Senator Cruz and Paul, etc.
I mentioned to my wife that it is a shame that Cruz could not have been on the POTUS defense team since he is a member of the Senate. But I suppose the sparks will fly plenty enough with the present POTUS defense team.
I dont see this getting to the calling up of witnesses. Its gonna be over as soon as the house managers bumble their act and the senate goes-”WTH? GET OUTTA HERE!”
We are blessed beyond measure that Cruz appears (for now) to be massively in Trump’s camp and all on board with literally everything we need to get done.
He was a bit critical of him in the last elections and wasn’t really all in until more recently.
It’s a good thing, absolutely.
Paul, I don’t trust him. I respect those who can hold strict Libertarian views, but we’ve got corruption and rot at the heart of our government. This impeachment shouldn’t be happening at all. Lending legitimacy to the process is very noble but that’s predicated on the process having not been utterly perverted in the first place.
Impeachment IS political. If it’s not strong enough to make both parties immediately “do what must be done” then it’s not worthy of impeachment and never should have been initiated.
