If we are going to be honest, there is probably at least a little bit of truth in what you say. And that support is not at all unusual. Blacks tend to support black candidates, Italians tend to support Italian candidates, etc.
And now a confession. That’s true even for me. I’m of Hungarian descent. And if I don’t know anyone who is running for my town council, I’ll often just vote for a candidate with an eastern European sounding last name.
