A thought hit me out of the blue, when studying the Nazis and the Communists before Hitler took power. It’s that to a communist, anyone who is not a communist is actually a fascist. There have been real fascists but the criteria for fascist is very low for a real Marxist or communist.

For communists, you can even be a communist and still get called a fascist: Stalin called Trotsky a fascist after they split up.
It goes back further, remember what happened when the senators thought they could manage the day to day affairs of the Roman Republic better than the consul who had defeated Romes enemies and brought prosperity to Rome.. Their solution, knife the consul on the steps of the senate. E Tu senators ... And that worked out so well for the republic.
The thing that worries me is the illogical unhinged approach of democrats. They are now fanatics that say you must believe what we say. After the first of the year, I visited a friend of mine who I have been in regular contact for 58 yrs, since we started elementary school together. He started in on Impeachment. I said, why don’t we just try to wait and see what was presented in the senate, just like we did with Nixon and Clinton. He got all hot, accused me of being a “FOX NEWS TALKING POINT BOT”. I said at this point it only mattered what the senators thought and how they voted, that politics wasn’t my priority, my new grand daughter was ( she’s my first). When I left the next day, my only thought was sadness that my friend had so much hate about trump that I couldn’t understand. Enough hate that it was more important than 58 years of friendship. I hope that I never get that much hate in my heart. And I hope that my friend reevaluates his priorities.
