the Wuhan guy who hopped on the boat was 80yr man. I’m going to guess he didn’t speak much English and so fraternized with the cooks and maids. They haven’t said ‘who’ on the ship is infected, but my bet is on the kitchen staff. And I think this because the one interview I saw of onboard ppl said that the meals have been sparse and ill-timed - the passenger was worried because he was diabetic and hadn’t been given food for over 12 hours and only one hot drink no other liquids. So something is going on in the galleys.

That sounds reasonable. I heard they weren’t being given enough water.

update:

England joins China’s list of those ‘overreacting.’ China’s glass heart needs respect/ China’s uK ambassador warns against ‘creating panic’ - China has it under control.

Third case in England - male, Brighton, isolated at home until hospitalized upon positive test. Did not catch in China but possibly Singapore

England now will extend home quarantine requirement to other Asian countries coming into UK, not just China

HongKong - several passengers positive on still-docked cruise ship. In HongKong - 5 cases of no china contact - 3 in same building so possible community transfer

From another article:

“The repatriation of 565 Japanese citizens from Wuhan, China, in late January offered scientists an unexpected opportunity to learn a bit more about the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) raging in that city. To avoid domestic spread of the virus, Japanese officials screened every passenger for disease symptoms and tested them for the virus after they landed. Eight tested positive”

Here’s what I find worrying. 8 people of 565 Japanese citizens tested positive, so 1.5%. I figure that the Japanese who stayed there long enough to need evacuation are businessmen and pretty much live like the locals (albeit a bit more upscale). So the 1.5% number should be representative of the scale of the problem in Wuhan. BUT, if you project the 1.5% number to a population of 10 million, that would mean 150,000 CASES, in Wuhan alone. I looked back and the advertised number then (Jan 29 and 30) was about 8,000 cases, throughout China (although most in Wuhan). The higher number, 150,000, is more in-line with the leaked number over the weekend, that we all seemed to have forgotten about. And this much higher number much better accounts for the 24/7 crematoriums and huge hospital lines they had dating back nearly a month now.

This is where the math comes in again - it is worse, MUCH WORSE, than being advertised, at least in Wuhan, and probably the rest of China. I am glad for Japan that they took that extra step to test everyone, regardless of symptoms, as that knowledge is needed to start seriously addressing this epidemic...along with some 6th grade math to figure out that we’re being lied to.

“...the passenger was worried because he was diabetic and hadn’t been given food for over 12 hours”

If he’s worried about 12 hours without food as a diabetic, he needs another doctor...but then again, that’s more for my Keto ping list.

community transfer could be elevator buttons, doors, or, central air. (China issued an order yesterday for all buildings in their updated quarantine zones to shut off their central air/heat).

I don’t think she thinks we are awful people.

She’s here because she has seen real evil. Her people went to Malaysia to escape communism. But Malaysia has been taken over by the Muslims, She accepted Christ despite her family because the temple worship that her folks participated in didn’t make sense to her.

She is pro China, but no pro Chinese government. Hard to fault her for being pro her own people.

And she also distributes any interesting story sent her way without thinking it through or trying to debunk it. So I’ve debunked many things she has sent me that didn’t have anything to do with international relations.

She relishes when China builds something great. And it kind of annoys me when she does. But I don’t let her know that. I know that China stole a lot of our jobs and industries.

But as Trump says, it’s not China’s leaders fault, they were only doing what was best for China. It’s America’s leaders fault for letting them do it to us.

And then I watch the cycle of corruption with the CLintons, taking money from everybody, Biden taking money from everybody. Pelosi loaded up with Chinese stocks and her son taking money. And I wonder how we are ever going to break the cycle.

Romney had to have known about the corruption going on in Ukraine because of his top advisor. I wonder if that is why he had his heart set on Sec of State? He could have gotten payoffs, and in the process compromised the Trump administration. Probably not to bring him down, but to control him.

Anyway Romney is exposed. The Senate may finally be looking at corruption. The deep state has taken a bruising. And Trump looks undefeatable.

Just multiply the Chinese numbers by ten so that you’ll be more likely to be in the ballpark. That’s what I do, so it’s “actually” about 6350 dead.

Yikes. I’m thinking they need to quarantine them all 14 days PAST the last confirmation.

I presume they are confined to their rooms to minimize the spread. But still. Someone has to go room to room to bring them food. Unless they are still letting them go to the dining rooms.

I also think a lot of the Chinese want Corona-virus to not be the fault of the Chinese. Whether it was weird eating habits or a research lab accident or bio-warfare accident. They want it to be someone else’s fault. They don’t want the world blaming China.

And then the rumor mongers play into those fears.
