Years ago, girls understood they should not put themselves into compromising positions. That if a girl voluntarily enters a guy’s bedroom or motel room, that guys will interpret that as tacit consent.

There is little doubt that Weinstein is a despicable man. He was the proverbial nerdy kid in high school that the good looking girls ignored. When he found himself in a position of power in hedonistic Hollywood things were much different. Beautiful and ambitious women were suddenly available. He no doubt exercised his power and took his opportunities. But it takes two to tango and these women knew they were doing. Quid pro quo comes to mind. Hard to call it rape. No doubt he destroyed the careers of women who would not acquiesce. For that he should be punished. Yet its hard to be sympathetic to a woman like Jessica Mann.
I always thought it was a joke to refer to the rich and famous Hollywood #metoo Weinstein accusers as “brave” or “heroes”. The real heroes are the hundreds of women we’ve never heard of, because they refused to put stardom above their dignity.
Can the judge send both sides to prison? That’s what Solomon would do.
