"I remember being told that Mexico was going to pay for this wall, or at least part of it. Is the new trade agreement somehow going to provide the money from them for Trump to keep that promise?

It's not the USMCA. It was the threat Pres. Trump made to the new Mexican president about tariffs. Mexico now has troops on their southern border and some on the northern border. Plus, they will keep the bogus asylum seekers in country while they await US hearings. So, yes, Mexico is now indirectly helping to pay for the wall.

Those (Quad .50 cals) are crowd pleasers, no doubt. Capable not only of stopping infiltrators, but also of flinging some of their major body parts back over to the Mexican side of 18 foot bollards.

I’m an attorney, and I believe that it is time to get rid of 90% of them (like lawyers in private practice). As a citizen with knowledge of how the profession works, and how individual actors behave, I can say without reservation that we’d be far better off as a society with 1/10 of the lawyers we have now.
