Very classy looking. Not very Christmasy, but still nice.

Hmmm... Can we assume that he is looking down at Chief-of-His-Staff Monroe?

He’s looking down on the entire dem party.

I watched the Nixon/Kennedy debate on youtube. I wasn’t born when it happened.

He Sounded like a Liberal but not a psychopath or someone who hated America.

I could be wrong. That was my impression.

Hell, he would be to the right of 90% of today’s Republicans.

“Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”.

It’s good they commemorate him. He was a good President. United us. We all felt proud to be Americans then.

In the history books I used in jr high, they would have a page listing all of the Presidents. They always used this portrait. Every other portrait would show the subject looking ahead or to one side, but Kennedy’s always was this one, facing down, I guess to remind us of his assassination. They didn’t do that for Lincoln, Garfield, or McKinley—just Kennedy.

He appointed Byron White to the Supreme Court who was far more conservative than Souter (Bush, Sr), Roberts (Bush, Jr.) and the execrable Stevens (the dunce named Gerald Ford).

What a VERY stupid “Christmas ornament”! I wonder why this was
done...it’s really disgusting and ridiculous in the extreme.

It has been my understanding he is looking down in the portrait because he was assassinated.

This isn't THE White House ornament; as the article says, every year a former president is honored with an ornament; this is one of that series.

You are always so sweet.

I watched that LIVE and JFK came off sounding terrible, Nixon was GREAT, but sadly, poor Mr. Nixon was very ill, refused to wear makeup, so looked awful.

Also, you can't judge a 1960 lefty by today's standards...so JFK did sound quite lefty back then.

Clever move. Politically, JFK would be considered an arch-conservative by today’s standards and could never be a Dem candidate. While his personal life appeared to involve Marilyn Monroe, among others, and wasn’t great, you’re not electing a saint, you’re electing a political leader.

I grew up in NYC and lived there during Trump’s spectacular divorces...And I still voted for him because I had seen myself that he knew how to get things done. Like JFK, he was and still is, in his own way, inspiring.
