What is your personal worst-case scenario as a law enforcement officer while on duty? The first answer is most likely getting shot and killed by a suspect. Then there are other tragedies; getting into a serious car accident during a high-speed pursuit, being held hostage in a prison riot or having a human being (God forbid a child) die in your arms. Those are all tragedies that could occur, and we pray that they never do.
But what about the scenario of a split-second decision that could be the difference between life and death—or the difference between being hailed a hero or getting indicted?
There is often a lot riding on the line of a split-second decision. For example, say you have a suspect who’s fumbling around inside his jacket even though you continually tell him to show his hands. You’re thinking … Is he rattled and just nervous? Does he have a lethal weapon he’s reaching for? What’s his intent? It’s nighttime and I can’t see well. Whatever I do, I better decide quickly! That entire conversation is going on in your head in a matter of seconds.

I hope Ted Cruz takes him under his wing, gets him through law school, and unleashes him on the liberals as a strict constitutionalist.
I hope President Trump can clean house at the upper echelons of the military and get rid of these idiots who make the calls from ivory towers on safe grounds and dictate to soldiers in peril at that moment what to do and not do. This rules of engagement crap has got to go.....those savages don’t have rules of engagement and we’ve lost too many guys and gals because of government hog tying these men and women......IMHO
I believe the Military also gave Chris Kyle the same grief when he picked off two ragheads on a motor cycle in Iraq.

The platoon was a bunch of goldbricking screwups — the LT was sent in to shape them up.
They did not like being shaped up, and IIRC, nine members of his platoon testified against him!
IOW, he got “FRagged.”
I hope the nine platoon members that testified against the LT get their due in spades. Probably some of those wonderful felons Obama let in the Army around 2009. Gang members and all. Part of the Obama plan to take over the military and make them his personal force.
Lts are not the most experienced of officers and when in straighting up mode need a strong back up.
If you were in his position would you not request a senior NCO of your choosing? I am aware of your military back ground.

Lorance was court martialed and found guilty by a military judge.
The conviction was reviewed and upheld by the Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne.
Juries and anti-police sentiment had nothing to do with it.
