Biden scores big Super Tuesday victories but Sanders takes California

Former Vice President Joe Biden is projected to win more than half of the 14 states holding contests on Super Tuesday, exceeding expectations for a campaign that was in serious trouble just weeks ago.

Biden’s eight victories included upsets in Minnesota, Oklahoma and Massachusetts, where he defeated Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and home-state Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D).

He was also competing hard with Sanders for Maine, another state where he had been seen as a big underdog.

Biden won blowout victories in Alabama and the swing state of Virginia, and was building big leads in North Carolina, Tennessee and Arkansas, three more states where he was declared the winner.

Sanders was projected as the winner of four states, including the biggest prize of the night in California, and he also won big in his home state of Vermont. Sanders also looked to be a runaway winner in Colorado and Utah

How is CA a big prize if it’s proportional?

Unless he gets 60 percent of the vote.

And he ain’t.

TX was essentially a tie.

where bernie won, he did it not NEARLY as convincingly as biden.

he’s done

Three candidates dropped out.

Biden was the natural go-to guy for the followers of those three.

This IS NOT big news > IMO.

All it does is document how the party crafted Super-Tuesday to stop Bernie Sanders.

You got that right.

When Biden has been up against traditional Republicans (e.g., Paul Ryan) he gets by - but Trump will address - front and center - Joe’s integrity problems and it will be brutal.

What surprised me about Virginia was how badly Sanders did.

I’d have thought he have performed well in NoVa, Charlottesville and maybe Richmond. I figured the white liberals and college kids would come out pretty strongly for him.

You don’t think they wont have a teleprompter for Biden with all the answers? Trump should just skip debates and let Biden gaffe himself out of the election. Not like they will be fare to Trump anyways. F the media.

Mail-in votes have until Friday to be received. They just had to be postmarked by today

they’ve already said it could be April before they know how it all broke down

They must be planning on awarding all of Buttgiggers votes to Burnie

Yeah, Bernie has a paltry 28.4% of the vote in California right now. Biden and Bloomberg are combining to wallop him.

So Buttigieg and Klobuchar drop out and endorse Biden, does that mean they give their delegates to Biden too ?
