indeed. i had cryoablation, which worked, but then subsequently had open heart surgery for a variety of other reasons, and while the surgeon was at it, he did a Cox Maze IV procedure with excision of the left atrial appendage (the source of blood clots in afib)just to be safe, so i’m golden now ...
don’t know why Slo Jo didn’t have the procedure unless the cause is something besides the pulmonary vein openings in the left atruium or he got really bad medical advice or got good medical advice and refused to take it ...
