California Rep. Devin Nunes said the media and liberals are putting the country into a panic by hyping the coronavirus outbreak.
What the media and the Left are doing here is theyre putting the country into a panic, and look, its for no reason, the Republican congressman told Fox News host Jesse Watters on his Saturday evening program. Im not saying that this isnt a serious health concern. We need to take it serious.
Nunes said the elderly, especially those with preexisting health conditions, need to take extra precautions with the outbreak, but the main issue is for us in the United States is just to remain calm.
A lot of people are panicking, Nunes said. One guy sneezed. Or someone has a runny nose.
Nunes referred to his experience contracting H1N1, which killed over 12,000 U.S. citizens from 2009-2010, to make his case for why people should remain calm now and heed instructions from health experts.
So as someone who did come down with H1N1 I had it for about two weeks. It was a pretty bad flu. I know what it was like back again then. But I also remember that nobody was panicking. I did not have to self-quarantine. They told me to stay away from people. They told me to continue to keep my temperature down," Nunes said.

The naysayers complain of the media and the left creating panic.
But I never hear any of them say, exactly, what they are doing to create panic. Or, what they should stop doing that is causing panic.
Perhaps it’s just the facts themselves that cause the weak minded to panic.
No need to hoard TP. It is NOT made in China and we are not going to run out. Dont add to the panic spread the truth.
I think it is obvious.....people who have crap for brains are going to need a lot of toilet paper to get past the next couple of weeks...
Sad....but more sad about the people who took all they could grab....with no thought for anyone else.
I know many people live paycheck to paycheck, but it sounds like you must live roll to roll if you only have a week’s supply of toilet paper on hand.
Ontario, Canada.
Premier Doug and the teachers unions have been negotiating for months.
I believe the union is fighting a roll out of online learning.
The plague hits!
Premier Doug closes the schools for three weeks.
Teachers Unions lose their leverage and carefully crafted narrative
Is Hillary still coughing on people??
Hillary and Bill need to be tested.
For Bill, we can save paper and report that which Bill does NOT have
>>Nobody in my home and family are in any kind of a panic.<<
Truth be told, there is little sign of true panic anywhere, unless you call the prudent shutting down of mass gatherings to slow the pace of the pandemic a panic.
It might turn out to have been an over-reaction, but we won’t know that until we see how the healthcare system performs over the next month or so. For myself, I’d rather miss a few gatherings than be faced with a healthcare shortage if I need intensive care, as is now happening in Italy and Iran, and before that, Wuhan.

You don’t drink much coffee, do you.
I just want to know what he believes the threshold for shooting people who “horde” too much toilet paper should be.
LOL! Great point about the lung-hacker. It’s good that she always has a hearse nearby.
BTW...IMO...the greatest American R&R song ever made...

Thanks, Steven Tyler.
I agree with you about Dewine. His first reaction when cases were reported in Ohio was to go straight to fear mongering and hysteria. My problem is where does he go from here.
The problem is probably not him specifically but he has a weak spine and is probably listening to advisors who hate President Trump that’s my fear.
We are doing the same thing in the wjcsux household.
