What about the difference if the President had been Her Thighness? I think that Trish Regan was on to something- This whole thing just might be Son of Impeachment or Impeachment Part 2. Just consider, how many dead people do we have now from the real, vintage strain flu? Several thousand?
If the MSM had not been whipping this new flu like the Mueller investigation, Russian this and that, would we be having panic buying without the media driving it? (And why toilet tissue of all things anyway? Why is that such a popular item? Media rumor driven maybe? In the book, the Supreme Court sided with Kealty and the quarantine was left as voluntary. However, counsel for Jack Ryan responded, that by referring to President Jack Ryan both by name and the title of his office, the Supreme Court had also (implicitly) recognized him as the legitimate President.
(*) This is a real case. In real life, Lemuel Penn was a black Lt. Col. shot to death with a shotgun by KKK members, and the corrupt cops and state let them skate. The Supreme Court reversed, partly on grounds that the state by covering up, became part of the KKK conspiracy to kill him, thus denying him his Civil Rights; since we was (IIRC) on a US Highway or Interstate or something when he was shot, his Constitutional right to travel freely between states was also infringed. Thus, the Government cannot prevent free travel between states. How this intersects with quarantine powers, however, is something that hasn't been considered in the Courts in real life, yet.

I can tell you how it was in the late 40s with polio. Every summer in my area of the South, churches and movie theaters were shut down, and no large indoor gatherings allowed. There wasn’t much driving around because there were still terrible shortages of cars, tires, batteries, etc. after the war for several years. There was no need to close the roads.
A post on FR earlier this month cited a retrospective study of the 1918-19 flu pandemic that suggested giving aspirin to patients made infections worsen.
I wonder what other countries are doing. It is a possibility that letting the fever run its course may lead to better outcomes.

You should have heard Biden and Sanders tell the nation that Trump is an existential threat to the world. They are convinced that Trump has lied to us and is incapable of ending the crisis. The American people don’t know that it took Trump to unwind the useless system we have in record time and rebuild one capable of fighting COVID-19.

We created a staging area on the end of the workbench in the garage. Everything coming in gets an aerisol spray dowwn of diluted clorox.
This includes Amazon packages, US mail, and whatever reaches the household. The kids who work outside the family sequester in the 28’ self contained trailer. Full electric, internet, food and of course ammo. I stay in the house and telecommute, rotate the food supply, and care for our three shepards and my rottie.

Are you concerned that after the pandemic/threat has passed the government will still have a say in what businesses can stay open, what hours of operation, where people can travel? Once the National state of emergency is lifted, they would not have those powers, and why would they want them? Business and travel is good for the tax collectors (govt.)

For the record, Infowars are huge supporters of President Trump. Before the 2016 election Trump showed up many did an interview.
Infowars is very anti Globalism and anti DC Establishment. They are very pro America first, pro Founding a Fathers, Constitution and Bill of Rights.
