One thing I might quibble with is the people eventually got off the ship, thereby freezing the infection rate. But that may serve as a surrogate for the measures that are and will likely continue to be done, like social distancing, more scrupulous hygiene, etc.
I can’t wait for the stories in a few weeks about how Government saved America from the deadly threat. And how close we came to mass extinction.
They will never admit it’s name is SARS2. SARS 1 had a special affinity for asian peoples and was a dud in America.
There is a weird fluor cold every year in asia. This was nothing more than a deliberate plan by China and the Democrat party to turn it into a crisis that they could shriek that Trump was screwing up and they could use to crash the economy.

The flu does not actually flatline like that
BTTT, I want to come back to your prediction because it is so dead on.
Except with billions of dollars poured into cures and vaccines. There are over 90 pharmaceutical companies working on a cure and vaccine, several are showing great progress (not factored into the death rate), Favilavir, Remdesivir, Actemra, REGN3048-3051, HIV Drugs, Chloroquine, blood transfusions from survivors, etc.
The mortality rate will continue to decline. If this effort was spent on the flu yearly, we could reduce the death rate by by at least a third, saving 40,000 lives a year.
Lets not forget the flu virii they “guess at” for a current winter season is based on what goes on beforehand in asia. They try to guess what will be coming our way from them for the next year.
So duh.
