Deaths are the most accurate data we have right now.
(Hat tip Travis McGee)
True dat.
And it's important for folks to understand that today's deaths in a given area correlate to the new confirmed cases from 2 weeks before.
covid19 good graphic bkmk
who said hoax? Interesting that the pearl clutchers always have to claim us skeptics are calling it a hoax. No one is calling it a hoax, we are calling it an over-hyped event in which the ‘cure’ is going to be way more devastating then the event itself.
AGAIN.... 19000 folks died from H1N1 in the U.S. and it was a blip on the national news cycle.
Perspective.
Weeks ago the freeper snowflake pearl-clutchers were telling me just to wait a couple of weeks and I’d be eating my words. Sorry 2 weeks later and I’m still on my way to vindication.
I’m paying particular attention to the daily deaths graph here:
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
That’s not looking good so far. When that turns the other way, I’ll start feeling better.
The hoax is the level of criticality.
Why believe models that show hundreds of thousands of deaths HERE, but not even close to what actually happened in China?
Trying to not hurt your feelings, but you do grasp that people die? Every day? For many reasons? But now all the dead people die of flu... You can’t make the connection? Think about it.
I agree. Also, I dont look at deaths. But, at hospitalizations. Those people are on vents fighting for their lives. Its one thing to have a cough. Its a whole other thing to be very ill.
