President Donald Trump has ordered General Motors to make ventilators under the Defense Production Act hours after criticizing the company for not acting quickly enough to produce the devices amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Did not the Federal government bail out General Motors? The government (taxpayers) lost about twelve billion dollars helping GM get out of its bankruptcy.
Is it asking too much to convert an abandoned plant to make ventilators?
Does anyone think GM will lose money on the deal.
I almost suspect Trump put GM up to resisting so her could invoke the DPA and shut Cuomo and the other critics up.
I wonder if there will “Monday” ventilators? Personally, they are one of last companies I’d want building ventilators. Or any union facility for that matter.

That was a challenge/request from Trump.
This is an order to GM because they were stalling with negotiations.
Well to put it this way.
If you are looking for people to feel sympathy for the company that took bailouts from taxpayers, you arent going to find it.
To Hell with GM. That parasitic corporation funded its oversees investments with the Obama bailouts. And the scandal never got much coverage, but Trump knew about it — thankfully.
And he also knows that Comcast is a scurrilous telecom operation.
