I’m a longtime conservative, loyal to President Trump, but I know an attention-grabber when I see one. Massie must be so thrilled at being the center of attention. He even got to be on Rush’s show, although with a guest host! Wonder how much he let his point be known, earlier in the process, as he could have done?

He votes against anything unconstitutional.

So of course he votes against the opiod bills, farm bills etc.

He also votes against all the big spending bills.

And he voted against the USMCA.

He is a solid conservative. Not many of them around.

He will never bend to leadership or special interests.

We MUST keep him in Congress......

The deep swamp of which consists of many Republicans will go out of their way to crush him. He and his brand of conservatism is what this country needs but since he will not go along with the criminal swamp mindset he will be gone come election day IMO. Too bad.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-trump-score/thomas-massie/

I posted the times in the 116th Congress he voted against POTUS. I didn’t list the 115th Congress but you can check it out at the link. HE VOTED AGAINST BORDER WALL FUNDS 3x.
Massie voted against Federal aid for Puerto Rico, and every other disaster bill. The deeper I look at his record the more I see he is not part of any solution. He voted against repeal of OBAMACare.

It was a unanimous yes vote. It would have been before his shenanigans & it was after. Where is the hiding with a unanimous affirmative vote?

Not much in the way of brains since he seems to have a cheat sheet of how to vote. “Votes the platform”-against funding the border wall every time.

That is what I was noticing.
I respect Rand Paul more than Massie, although he can be a PITA. Rand has his hot button issues where he sacrifices effectiveness to take purist positions but he has come through on some initiatives.

That’s right. All we want is big spending politicians like Pete King, AOC, John Kerry..

Tell me, where you think he might have got a nationwide public forum to voice his opposition to this secretly contrived, disastrous piece of legislation while it was being written by the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, Stephen Mnuchin, and Chucky Schumer?

He is a backwater, backbencher conservative Republican. Would have been prominently put on Fox News unless there is a story they can pin to him? Hardly likely!

Former Sen. Corbin just died, a principled opponent of abortion all his political life-was he to a "grandstander"too ?

Congressman Massie did what every politician is duty-bound to do, address the public to alert them of chicanery. Is it grandstanding to demand that others go on the record? Or is going on the record also "grandstanding?"

Where, oh where are the heretofore self-righteous howls for transparency? Gone the way of substituting personality for principle.

Voting against USMCA was your idea of principled? It seems like he doesn’t understand that a treaty involves compromises. He uses his vote to virtue signal rather than being part of the solution. He is not doing his job or representing the will of his constituents.
